Equine Companion - In Loving Memory

The Heart Behind Witts End Wellness

Some horses carry you. Others change you.

Muffin was never meant to be "just a pony." She became Brie's teacher,  her therapist, her grounding place, and one of the greatest gifts life has ever given her.

When Brie foundheryself searching for answers, navigating burnout, and trying to reconnect with who she was, Muffin quietly met her exactly where she was. She never asked Brie to explain what she was feeling or expected her to have it all together. She simply showed up—day after day—with patience, kindness, and an incredible ability to make Brie slow down.

Muffin reminded Brie that healing doesn't always happen through words. Sometimes it happens through quiet moments, shared breaths, gentle scratches, and simply being present.

Although many people saw a small backyard pony, IBrie saw one of life's greatest teachers.

Through Muffin, Brie learned that patience is powerful. That kindness changes people. That first impressions rarely tell the whole story. And perhaps most importantly, that it is never too late to grow—because even an "old horse" can learn new tricks.

She certainly proved that herself. Muffin loved learning, especially if apple treats were involved. She proudly learned to bow, wasn't shy about asking for snacks, and always had plenty to say if someone was willing to listen.

On July 7, 2026, Muffin crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving a space in our hearst that can never truly be filled. While saying goodbye was one of the hardest moments of Brie's life, her impact continues to shape everything Witts End Wellness stands for.

Every woman who visits this space, every horse who joins the herd, every Equine Assisted Learning session, every quiet conversation around a fire, and every dream for this sanctuary carries a piece of Muffin's legacy.

Muffin reminds us that healing often begins when we feel safe enough to simply be ourselves.

Thank you, Moo Moo, for changing our lives.

Your story lives on here.

"Once loved, forever part of the herd." 🤍

The curious one

Lucy is a 5-year-old Buckskin Quarter Horse with a heart full of curiosity and a gentle spirit that invites connection. She approaches the world with bright eyes, an open mind, and a willingness to explore, making her a beautiful partner for both learning and growth.

Still early in her own journey, Lucy reminds us that confidence isn't about having all the answers—it's about being willing to take the next step. Her playful personality, affectionate nature, and genuine curiosity encourage those around her to embrace new experiences with courage and an open heart.

Whether she's investigating something new, asking for scratches, or quietly sharing space with someone in the arena, Lucy has a way of helping people slow down, stay present, and appreciate the simple moments.

As Witts End Wellness grows, Lucy will become an important part of our Equine Assisted Learning programs, helping create meaningful experiences built on trust, self-discovery, and authentic connection.

"Curiosity opens the door to growth, and Lucy is always ready to see what's around the next corner."
